Two of Wiltshire’s leading advice charities to share premises in Devizes

Two of Wiltshire’s leading advice charities, Age UK Wiltshire and Wiltshire Citizens Advice, will co-locate from 11th March, 2019 as Age UK Wiltshire moves from its current location in Devizes Market Place to share the offices of Wiltshire Citizens Advice in New Park Street.

“We’re very positive about the move”, said Age UK Wiltshire CEO, Julian Kirby. “Our clients, staff and volunteers felt very strongly that we should remain in the town and this move will allow us to do that. There are other advantages too as the two charities have a lot in common. The move means we will be able to share knowledge and skills more easily which can only benefit our clients.”

Suzanne Wigmore, CEO of Wiltshire Citizens Advice said, “We’re delighted to have Age UK Wiltshire be part of the services on offer in New Park Street. They, like us, play an important role in supporting the local community.

“It makes sense financially and practically to have these services co-located together in the same place; and with the premises open to the public more often, we hope it will become a central hub for the local community and more people will be able to get the support they need.”

Wiltshire Citizens Advice will continue to open to the public in New Park Street on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am - 3pm.

From week commencing Monday 11th March, Age UK Wiltshire will be open to the public for drop-in to the New Park St offices on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10am – 3pm.
